These will be the first full trailers for the movie, and fans are looking forward to getting a better idea of the tone of the film, as well as seeing more of the scene-stealing Holland. The POV trailer that we saw earlier this week keeps the likeable teen front and center, and while we did get to see some fantastic new additions to the suit, it’s Peter Parker’s reaction to the new suit that is most engaging. Co-producer Eric Hauserman Carroll has previously said that this film will skip the backstory and get right into the struggles of balancing life as a high school student and a superhero.

He literally just went to Europe with the coolest clique of them all, and now he’s back with the academic decathlon and the mathletes and going, ‘What am I doing here?’

There is little doubt that these trailers are both going to be incredible, with plenty of the humor that Marvel is famous for, and although the US and International versions are sure to be almost identical, the few extra lines and scenes are enough to make the die-hard Marvel fans happy. We’re also thrilled to see Spider-Man at a different time in his life, skipping the spider-bite and getting to a point where Spidey is still figuring things out, but isn’t totally new at all this hero stuff. The trailers should also give us our first look at some of the other characters, as well as some of the other adjustments that the gadget-loving Tony Stark has added to Parker’s suit.

That said, these trailers are unlikely to give away much that we do not already know. This is our first look at Parker in his solo outing, but the excitement over a new Spider-Man is mitigated because we have already met him in an ensemble film. We may also see fewer action sequences than some fans would prefer, as the film is more of a coming-of-age story than a big action flick – a great new take on the character, but perhaps not what every fan is looking for. There is also no confirmation on where the International trailer will air. It may not appear alongside the US version on Jimmy Kimmel, but wherever it shows up, we are certain that there will be plenty of opportunities to re-watch both again and again.
